Randall Ray

Co-Founder, President and CEO
Mr. Ray began his career with Price Waterhouse (San Diego, CA) in 1991 as an auditor specializing in high-tech and banking clients. While at Price Waterhouse, Mr. Ray was involved in several initial public offerings, mergers and other engagements that created billions of dollars in shareholder value for various clients including Qualcomm, General Atomics, Stac, Lottery Enterprises, Callaway Golf, San Diego Trust and Savings Bank and First Interstate Bank among others. Upon leaving Price Waterhouse in 1995, Mr. Ray served as Assistant Controller for Stac, Inc., a data compression, remote access, and backup software company. Stac was made famous for successfully suing Microsoft and IBM for patent infringement of its LZS Compression algorithm which resulted in a settlement of over $120 million for Stac’s shareholders. During his tenure at Stac, Mr. Ray was responsible for several corporate acquisitions, as well as the creation and subsequent spin-off of the data encryption company HIFN, which went public in 1998 and is listed on NASDAQ (symbol: HIFN). Mr. Ray next served as Director of Finance and Administration for the molecular modeling company Interactive Simulations, which was successfully sold to Molecular Design Limited (MDL). In 1999 Mr. Ray joined the Commercial Contracting Group (CCG), an international machinery and robotics installation company, and was instrumental in its expansion and revenue growth which included corporate rebranding, new market acquisitions and the creation of a new world headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. CCG is now one of the largest privately held machinery and robotics installation firms in the world. Mr. Ray also serves on several corporate boards and is active with various not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Ray holds a BBA in Accounting from Walsh College.

Peter Kochevar, Ph.D

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Kochevar holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Michigan, an MS in Mathematics from the University of Utah, and MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Cornell University. From 1992 until 1998, Dr. Kochevar was employed by the Digital Equipment Corporation but worked at the San Diego Supercomputer Center in San Diego, California as a Visiting Scientist. At the Supercomputer Center, he managed a group of researchers in developing interactive data visualization systems, and he structured collaborative research projects whose results benefited Digital's engineering teams. In June of 1998, he co-founded SharedPlanet, Inc., a company that developed Web-based collaboration software and services, and was SharedPlanet's Chief Technology Officer. In April 2000, SharedPlanet was purchased by SkyDesk, Inc., a storage services provider based in San Diego. Dr. Kochevar worked for SkyDesk as its Principal Software Architect until January 2001.

Jennifer Baenziger

Director of Sales and Marketing
Jennifer Baenziger leads Copper Range’s Sales and Marketing efforts with a targeted approach to win-win objectives. She brings over 20 years of experience in the business world across various technical and non-technical industries. Jennifer’s success is a direct result of her ability to excel as a leader and build relationships across all levels. For more than ten years Jennifer worked for Volkswagen of American within the Engineering, Banking and Marketing departments. Since 1994 she has successfully capitalized on growth opportunities as an Account Manager, Staffing Consultant and Project Leader. Jennifer is a graduate of Walsh College of Business with Bachelors in Business Administration.

Irene Winkler

Corporate Controller
Ms. Winkler began her career in 1981 as an Accounting Manager with Lewco Products, a manufacturer’s representative for the industrial floor adhesives market. In 1996, Ms. Winkler next served as Corporate Controller for Tygar Sales, a manufacturer’s representative for retail sales of consumer goods for companies such as K-Mart, Wal-Mart and Meijer.

Kris Held

Product and Communications Manager
Kris Held brings over 10 years of marketing expertise to her role as Product and Communications Manager at Copper Range. She has a strong background in graphic design gained from working for various advertising agencies as well as her own freelance business. Additionally, she has experience in merchandising and account management. This combination of skills allows her to communicate well with customers and succeed in a team-oriented environment. Kris is a graduate of Valparaiso University with a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations and Advertising.
